This guide explains how to add a picture from your computer to an article on your X-Site. It also includes tips for resizing and aligning your image within the article.
How To Upload a Picture From Your Computer to an Article
1) To insert a picture, first make sure you know where the photo/graphic is on your computer, and make sure it is a reasonable size (HUGE pictures take long to download).
2) Click your cursor in the text around where you'd like the picture to appear.
3) Click the insert/edit image button. This will bring up a browser window to select a picture from the images folder on the website.
4) Since the picture you want to add is on your computer, you need to upload it to the website before it can be added to the article. Click on the upload button (small icon to the right of the window, green up arrow). Click the "add" button and find the picture on your computer. Then click "start upload".
5) After the image is uploaded, close out the upload window and it will appear in the list with all the other images on the website, click on the image and then click "insert". The picture should now appear in the article.
Here are the main tools you'll use for inserting an image:

Alignment and Margin: Use alignment and margin to format the picture within your article. Alignment will place the picture to the left or right of the text in your article. Margin adds spacing between the edge of the image and your text. For example, an image aligned to the right with a left margin of 10 pixels will be displayed to the right of your text, with a 10 pixel space between the image and text.
Tip: If you have a large image you’d like to add to the website (such as an image from a digital camera), make sure it is a reasonable size before you upload it to the website. Most images should be in the 300x300 pixel range. You can use websites like http://www.picresize.com/ to resize your images.
