Need to update the content on a page of your website, or replace the filler text on a newly created X-Site? Start with this guide! A must-read if you plan on editing an X-Site.
How to Update Articles (Or Replace Filler Text):
1) Navigate to the login page of your website (usually the contact page), and log in using your username and password.
2) After logging in, a small pencil and paper icon will appear above each article. To edit the article, click this icon. The article editor will open and the content can now be changed.
3) Highlight the content you wish to edit with your cursor and replace.
Here are the main tools you’ll use for adding content:
![]() |
Article Title: Headline for the article.
Text Options: Changes the way text is displayed. Most tools are the same as those found in Microsoft Word. For example, to make a sentence large and bold, highlight the sentence, increase the point size, and click the bold button.
Save or Cancel Changes: Keeps or discards the changes you’ve made to the article. Pressing cancel will not save any of the content you've changed, so be sure not to press it on accident!
Create “Read More” Link: Most articles on the front page are truncated with a "read more" link that allows people to click to view the whole article. This helps to conserve space on the front page. To add a read more link, click after the first few paragraphs of the article, and then click 'read more'. It should put a horizontal line across the article; this shows where the "read more" link will appear. Then continue authoring your article.
